Where has this year gone? All too soon we have reached the final outdoor show of 2019 and as always our closing show is The Festival of 1000 Classic Cars and North West Classic Motor Cycle Show in the stunning
grounds of Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. This is one of the largest shows in the North West, with an unparalleled selection of classic cars and bikes on display.
With 1,000 display vehicles and 50 trade stalls and food and drink stalls, the 5,000 visitors had plenty to see and do over the course of the day.
We had a good spot in the field and soon we had our event shelter up and all our cars in place. With Catherine and me, with our azure blue Mk2, were Dave and Shirley in their silver Roadster, Mike and Anne in their blue Roadster, Bob and Glenys in their silver Roadster, David in his white Mk2, Jean and Sky in their blue Mk2, Mark in his red Mk2 modified turbo, Mark and Pailin in their red Mk2 and Brian Woodruff in his white Mk1.
Bob, Dave and I entered the arena for the Sports Cars and Convertibles competition, along with many other fantastic cars of all makes and ages. I was very pleased to receive 1st Place in this event with my blue Mk2, making it a great end to the season for me personally and all the members.
