This month we paid a visit to The Dean Hertitage Centre in the The Forest of Dean. Set across a five acre site, the centre protects and preserves the unique history of the Forest of Dean.
With around 20,000 artefacts, five onsite galleries, outdoor displays a research library and guided tours on offer, the museum tells the story of the Forest from the Ice Age to the present day. The centre also offers a range of fun and interactive workshops for schools and groups throughout the year.
We enjoyed the lunch so much we returned the cafe later on for tea and cakes. Altogether a very interesting and enjoyable day.
