This was only the 2nd time that this event has been held at Stonyhurst College, which is a magnificent 16th century Grade I listed building.
The event followed a well-established format, with vehicle concours judging throughout the day for the various year-classes of vehicle. This was overseen by Drystone Radio presenter and local celebrity Mark Stone, who was broadcasting live to his radio show, interviewing with his usual humour and banter with Dave Hall and the other individual participants.
The weather forecast was for heavy rain showers, but we carried on with our usual determination to present a good display for the public to view and we chatted with them underneath large umbrellas!
We were suitably rewarded by winning the Best Club Stand Display award. Many thanks go to David Blackburn, Danos Diamanou, Bob and Glenys McClellan, Brian Flanagan, Nik Milford and Mike Jackson for showing their superb MR2 Drivers’ Club spirit.
