This was our first show of 2019.
We set off early to meet up at Lancaster services on the M6, to travel the remaining 20 miles or so in convoy. It was great just to get the attention of the people at the services, wondering where we were all going before we set off! The convoy was led by Nik Milford (the right way this year!) and we had 10 cars in the convoy on the M6 Northbound up to the Westmorland Show Ground near Kendal.
This event appeals to collectors, dealers, buyers and enthusiasts, with the very best of the luxury brands on display including Porsche, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Kia and Ford, as well as several Club Stands. There was also live entertainment in the marquee, food outlets, trade stands and children’s rides, so a very well organised event for a family day out.
The was a great number of public showing an interest in all that was displayed at the show and it was a very pleasant day meeting with the North West members and talking to people interested in the MR2s.
We are looking forward to our show next Sunday at Capesthorne Hall, which is a well-loved venue.
