We had enjoyed our previous visit to The Hartshead Inn in 2015, so we arranged for the private area for our lunch as 25 members were attending. As it was a fine and bright day, and being in an elevated position, there are fantastic views across Manchester. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, as are the staff, and the food was excellent.
Danos and Rachel joined us for lunch for the first time. They chatted about his recent purchase of a red Mk1 which has not run for some time, which Danos is recommissioning over the winter months with a view to having it running for next year’s show season.
Mike drove Ann’s new Roadster to the meeting and as we came back to the car park we spent some time looking at the improvements which Mike has made.
Several of our MR2s are now on SORN for the winter time to preserve their bodywork against the salt, so a variety of daily use cars were driven to the restaurant.
